Using the tool

NickFinders is free for personal and general use. Every name, nickname, and styled text it produces is a suggestion. You decide whether and where to use it.

No promises about names

We cannot promise that a name is unique, free, or allowed on a given platform. We also cannot promise that styled characters will show up correctly on every device. Platforms write their own naming rules and change them without notice.

Fair use

Do not use the tool to pretend to be another person or brand. Do not use it to harass anyone, break a platform’s rules, or break the law.

Who owns what

We own the site’s text, design, and code. The short names you generate are yours to use. We cannot promise they are free of third-party rights, such as trademarks, so check before you use one for a business.

Links and outside sites

Any outside site you reach from NickFinders follows its own terms. We do not control it.

Changes and downtime

We provide the site as is. It may change or go offline for short periods. We may revise these terms, and using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
