Editorial Policy
This page explains how we write and maintain what you read on NickFinders.
Where the lists come from
Our curated lists use common words and common naming patterns, such as shortening, soft endings, and titles. We write them for this site. We do not copy them from other nickname sites.
How the tool output is built
Generated names come from fixed rules and word lists in the code. Given the same input and the same seed, the tool returns the same results. We test this behavior in a real browser before each release.
How we handle claims
We state what the tool does and what it does not do. We make no claim that a name is unique or open. We describe a platform’s naming rules only when we have checked them, and we point you to the platform when rules matter.
What we leave out
You will not find invented reviews, usage numbers, awards, or staff credentials here. If we show a number, it describes something you can verify on the page, such as the 40-character input limit.
Review
Haseeb builds and tests the tool. Ibrahim reviews each page for search quality, clarity, and accuracy. Both of them approve a page before it goes live, and they look at it again when the tool changes. The date on the legal pages shows the last revision.
No paid placement
Nobody pays to appear in our lists. If that ever changes, we will label it clearly on the page.
